Fish Diseases and Products I use.


1)ICK this is a common diseas. If your fish have whitish
areas on their gills chances are they have ick. Most pet supply stores have medication to treat this.

2) Hole in the head Parasite worms.
This is an intestinal parasite that can actually kill
your fish if you don't treat them. This Parasite is an intestional Parasite and spreads like wild fire. One way they are introduced to the tank is by purchasing a fish that is infected. It is hard to notice if a fish has this parasite as the only sign is scaring on the Parrots head and it is not always showing.
Hith live in the gravel however due to their rappid reproduction they can be found on the sides of the tank as well as in and on interior objects.

1)Seachem's Metronidazole is a highly pure, crystalline metronidazole. It is the most effective form available. It is effective against a vast array of parasitic infections ("hole in the head") with little danger of over dosage. It is easily removed through chemical filtration and is well tolerated by most invertebrates. Marine or freshwater.
