Parrots come in a variety of colors. Recently many people have been noticing their blood parrots changing colors as they get older. This isn't at all surprising when you consider the parent species. Both Midas cichlids and red devils do this to a large degree. Parrot owners have reported many different colors however it should be known that some not all Blood Parrots as well as Jellybeans are dyed and are sold to the unsuspecting. A natural Blood Parrot is mostly orange in color, while a Jellybean is normally pinkish. To many these colors are unappealing so they purchase the dyed fish without really knowing the truth behind it. This causes these fish to die off early as well as not grow to the length they would have had they not been dyed. Below is a picture of a tank filled with these fish dyed.
